The team currently plays in Bill Snyder Family Football Stadium in Manhattan, Kansas. The football team was first organized in 1893 and the program had some shining moments in the 1920s and 1930s, and it also including a Big Six Conference championship in 1934.
In 1989 BILL SNYDER was made the coach and he led the team to its first bowl victory in 1993. And under Snyder the team also won 6 other bowl games from 1993-2003. In 2003, he also led the team to the Big 12 Conference championship. Coach Snyder was awarded the Bear Bryant award and also recognized as the National Coach of the Year in 1998. Snyder retired from coaching following the 2005 season.
Ron Prince began coaching in 2005. He previously coached at the University of Virginia.
Kansas State has participated in 13 bowl games with an overall record of 6-7 and had a streak of 11 straight bowl appearances that lasted from 1993 to 2003.
